Headquarters for biotech company iCarbonX has been designed by New York-based Architectural firm Steven Holl Architects in the form of two glass towers linked by garden bridges in Shenzhen, China. Steven Holl Architects is a 40-person Architecture and urban design studio that has been founded by Architect Steven Holl with offices in New York City and Beijing. The project will combine a cylindrical 150-metre-high residential block with a sweeping 200-metre-high office skyscraper in the physical resemblance form of a DNA strand. The top and base of the building will be punctured by garden bridges. Each bridge will be lined with a variety of native tropical plants. The upper two bridges will connect the gym to the residential tower and also to the cafes and business club and the office block. The two lower bridges will connect the galleries, the clinic and the meeting spaces. The lower bridge will extend further down to the public plaza which houses a grass-lined podium.
