The Eiffel Tower Project

London based British landscape Architecture studio Gustafson Porter + Bowman aims to redesign the iconic Eiffel Tower area.  The studio won the competition for the Site Tour Eiffel project, beating entries from Koz Architects, Amanda Levete, and Agence Ter. The project would be titled ‘One line’. The new design aims to remove the crowding issue and also improve the services at the landmark ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The main agenda of the project would be to include more greenery to either side of the tower. The designers would set up a green corridor at the Place du Trocadéro. It will also feature an amphitheater at the Trocadéro and more public space around the Varsovie Fountains. To improve the biodiversity of the area, new trees will be planted in the upcoming parks around the Eiffel Tower. The famous Pont d'Iéna will be transformed into a green bridge, and the Champ de Mars will have two new squares and raised lawns. The first stage of the project is due to be completed in 2023.

Here at Sigma College of Architecture, one of the Top Architectural Colleges in Tamil Nadu we help our students broaden their horizons by educating them on projects that think outside the box.
