London Architecture studio founded by Jeremy Dixon and Edward Jones in 1989, Dixon Jones and sculptor David Mach has envisioned ‘Mach1’ which is an eye-catching and an engaging piece of art, comprising of 36 bright red shipping containers that will span 50 metres long and 15 metres high. The masterpiece project will appear like several shipping containers have been stacked on top of each other. The site of the project will be an undeveloped section of the Edinburgh Park, located in the west of the city and will be aimed for an event space and marketing suite. The red facade has been instilled so as to reflect the industrial heritage of the area. Other amenities that will occupy the remaining The 43-acre site will have sports facilities, restaurants, shops, and public offices among many more. The construction of Mach1 is expected to begin as early as next year.
