Building construction waste has become a rising issue. To achieve zero waste building one needs to look no further than nature where plants grow, die and biodegrade becoming a resource for new growth. Similarly one can take example of this and implement the process of biodegradable materials for construction. The implementation of this practice in mainstream construction can become a resource for new growth and also contribute to a comprehensive agenda for sustainable design. Several studies all over the world have revealed the same that feasible and worthwhile waste reductions can be achieved in mainstream housing construction by designing biodegradable buildings.

About Us

Sigma College of Architecture which is located in Moododu, Anducode P O, near Kuzhithurai, is the only college offering B. Arch & M. Arch programmes in the southern zone of Tamil Nadu covering Thootukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts. The College is positioned amidst lush green vegetation and rolling landscape. Nagercoil and Trivandrum towns are just one hour of travel from the college.
