Building construction waste has become a rising issue. To achieve zero waste building one needs to look no further than nature where plants grow, die and biodegrade becoming a resource for new growth. Similarly one can take example of this and implement the process of biodegradable materials for construction. The implementation of this practice in mainstream construction can become a resource for new growth and also contribute to a comprehensive agenda for sustainable design. Several studies all over the world have revealed the same that feasible and worthwhile waste reductions can be achieved in mainstream housing construction by designing biodegradable buildings.
